We have used Yana and Dan to care for our three dogs since they started WALK A PUP. They are the most reliable, flexible and loving animal care takers we have ever used and don’t know what we would do without them!

A tired Lab is the best kind of Lab, and our Cosby is good and tired after a run, romp and impromptu training session with Dan and Yana! We are thrilled to have their help, and love the little notes on the counter when we get home—it’s like getting a pre-schooler’s daily report!!

Yana and Dan are dependable, accommodating and professional. I trust them completely to take good care of Archie, my Jack Russell Terrier. I love the notes they leave for me after each visit telling me how they spent their time with Archie (going for a walk or playing catch or finding him curled up in my bed sound asleep!) Yana and Dan are Great! I just got back from vacation and had missed my flight. They were able to take Sparky out two additional times and fed her and Chester my Cat. It is a great relief knowing that your animals are well loved and taken care of.

I had been working and living in Salem for years and had been spoiled with the ability to come home at lunch to spend time with my two poodles. When I found a job in Boston, I was worried what I would do about Pepper and Leo. Thank God I found Walk A Pup. My poodles are so happy when we come home from work! Yana and Dan are the sweetest people in the world. Their passion and love for what they do and for the dogs they care for is heart warming. I have been using Dan and Yana since they first started Walk-A-Pup. Not only are they responsible, reliable, and kind hearted, but they are also so completely flexible. Truly there is NO ONE I would trust my two precious pups with other than Dan and Yana. They are the BEST!!

With a year old Rottweiler, Otis, we were in desperate need of a dog walker and sitter that would both love our “little man” and was willing and capable of handling a strong dog. Dan and Yana at Walk a Pup have surpassed our wishes. They not only provide a full hour of service during the week, but they offer a structured session with play time, training time, and a cool down period. Not only do they walk and aid in our daily needs for Otis, but they show love and care beyond what we would have ever experienced outside our family. They leave a detailed note telling us of Otis’ adventures of the day and any information that we may need to know. I can even recall occasions where they cleaned up a mess when Otis was sick or called to tell me he needed to go to the vet and left me samples by the door with a note to the neighbors that it was not garbage. This really came in handy at the vet’s office!

Dan and Yana also provide extended care for Otis. When thoroughly disappointed with the local kennels, we were thrilled to learn that Dan and Yana would not only provide additional walks when we are away, but that they would stay at our house with Otis while we were gone. This way, Otis got people time and got to sleep in his own bed just like when we are home. In many ways, I think Otis gets more attention when we are away because he goes on play dates with other pets in Walk a Pup’s care and is always exhausted when we return—what a great way to end a vacation or work trip! Now, we no longer worry about if Otis is okay when we are away, but simply miss him and know he too is on vacation.

Now that my husband is leaving for an extended time abroad for work--Dan and Yana will a key part of my sanity. Our first question was if Dan and Yana could step in to help me with Otis while I was a "single mom." Not only can my husband leave knowing that Otis is well cared for, but he can leave knowing that I have all the help I could ever need in caring for our "son."

Yana and Dan play an invaluable role in the lives of our dogs. We have two big, strong, young, energetic, wonderful "kids": a shepherd/elkhound mix and a pure bred German shepherd. As a business, Walk a Pup is professional, caring, prompt, accommodating, reliable and defiantly the best you will ever find. As people/dog lovers, Yana and Dan are compassionate, consistent, loving, firm when necessary and our pups clearly enjoy ever minute of time spent with these two unique and wonderful individuals. I can't imagine leaving for work or getting ready to welcome a human child into the family without Yana and Dan as our constant support system. They understand dogs and love ours as if they were their own. I would recommend this business for pups of all sizes, ages, exercise requirements, etc, without any hesitation.

Dan and Yana have been my saviors for my crazy Lab/Shep mix Buddy. Everyday was a new challenge that they helped me work through and keep me sane. They taught me tips and training lessons for the issues we were having with him and with their help have overcome most of them. I love the notes they leave to tell me about his day, although sometimes Buddy has eaten them before I get home to read them as a snack or so I wouldnt read that he had done something naughty that day. I go to work everyday knowing Buddy will be in the best of hands.
